At Hawkesbury, this route crosses the Ottawa River and enters the
Province of Quebec. You now follow Route Verte 1 as far as Oka, where you
take the ferry back across the Ottawa River. |

heading north on Hwy.34. This will take you across the Ottawa River, on the
bridge. |

Turn right (east) at
the first set of traffic lights after crossing the river. You will now find
yourself on Rte.344, which has a good paved shoulder. It is also
Route Verte
1, a portion of Quebec's excellent bicycle route network. Continue to
look for, and to follow, the Route Verte 1 signs, even as it turns north of
Rte.344. You should also find a Tourist Information Booth located at this
intersection. |
