This is an excellent section of the route as you will be cycling on quiet paved roads that remain close to the Ottawa River.

0 km Leave Rockland by riding east on Laurier St.
3 km Be sure to turn right on Montee Outaouis. If you continue straight ahead you will find yourself on (the very busy) C.R. #17, and that would definitely be a mistake!
5 km At the T-intersection, turn left on to C.R. #8 (Landry St.).
6 km At the lights, cross over C.R. #17 and follow Old Hwy. 17 (which later becomes rue Principale). As the name suggests, this is the old highway. Although it is very quiet, it is a little rough in parts!

17 km After 11 km on Old Hwy. 17, you will need to turn left at the stop sign and follow busy C.R. #17 for 500 m.
18 km In Jessups Falls, be sure to turn left on N. Plantagenet Rd. #21.

29 km Jog L/R on to C.R. #24 in the village of Treadwell.
40 km Village of Lefaive. Convenience store.
41 km Ottawa River ferry (in case you wish to rest for the night at the Chateau Montebello!).
59 km Turn left on King St. in the town of L'Orignal. King St. later becomes Front St.
65 km At the stop sign, turn left on C.R. #4.
68 km Town of Hawkesbury.
