an excellent section of the route as you will be cycling on quiet paved

Leave Rockland by riding east on Laurier St.
(which becomes Tucker Rd.). |

Be sure to turn right on Montée Outaouis. If
you continue straight ahead you will find yourself on (the very busy) C.R.
#17, and that would definitely be a mistake! |

At the T-intersection, turn left on to C.R.
#8 (Landry St.). |
| |
5 km |
At the lights, cross over busy C.R. #17 and follow
Old Hwy. 17 (which later becomes rue Principale). As the name suggests, this
is the old highway and, although it is very quiet, it is a little rough in
parts! |

When you eventually reach the stop sign at
C.R.17, you will need to

22 km |
Shortly after crossing the bridge over the
South Nation River (in Jessups Falls), be sure to turn left on N.
Plantagenet Rd. #21. This is a delightful road for cycling since it is very
quiet, has a good surface, and remains close to the Ottawa River. |

29 km |
Jog L/R on to C.R.24 in the village of
Treadwell. C.R.24, which you follow for the next thirty kilometres, is
another excellent road for cycling. |
