Northumberland County, in Ontario, is a cyclists heaven as it is littered with quiet paved roads. The terrain is quite flat near Lake Ontario in the south of the County, but becomes a lit hillier in the north as one approaches the Oak Ridges Moraine. All of the cycling routes described in this Website have been developed by local cyclists and they all utilize safe, paved roads. These routes are all circular in that they start and finish at the same place. Click on the name of the town for routes that start and finish in that town.
